Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off a unique heritage train from Ekta Nagar Railway Station in Kevadiya to Ahmedabad on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the country’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, by 31st Oct 2023. This train will run between Ekta Nagar and Ahmedabad. This train will refresh the memories of the past.
About the Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad Steam Train
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off the inaugural service of the Steam Heritage Special train between Ekta Nagar and Ahmedabad through a video link from Ekta Nagar (Kevadiya). This train will be a true tribute to the great son of our country, the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
According to Western Railway, this train will take the passengers to the bygone era of steam locomotives with its unique heritage. In this, passengers will get a memorable travel experience during the journey. The train is equipped with advanced interiors and luxurious amenities.
Timing of Steam Heritage Special Train: Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad
According to Western Railway, the regular operation of train number 09409/09410 Ahmedabad-Ekta Nagar Steam Heritage Special train will start on November 5, 2023.
Train No. 09409 Ahmedabad-Ekta Nagar Steam Heritage Special train will depart from Ahmedabad at 06.10 am every Sunday and it will reach Ekta Nagar at 09.50 am on the same day.
Similarly, Train No. 09410 Ekta Nagar – Ahmedabad Steam Heritage Special train will depart from Ekta Nagar at 8:35 PM (20.35 hrs) every Sunday and reach Ahmedabad at 00.05 hrs the next day.
About the Train Coach
The train has four AC Vistadome-type coaches, including three air-conditioned Exclusive Chair Car coaches and one restaurant dining car.
Booking for Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad Steam Heritage Special Train Nos. 09409 and 09410 are open with immediate effect at all PRS counters and the IRCTC website. The advance reservation period (ARP) of the said train will be 30 days.

The ticket price for the Steam Heritage Train from Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad is Around 885 INR for Exec. Chair Car (EC) and the same price for the return ticket from Ahmedabad to Ekta Nagar.
