Fix Pay Gujarat: Cabinet Decided to Increase 30% of the Salary

A cabinet meeting was held in Gandhinagar on 18th Oct 2023 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel. (Fix pay employee) in which the long-standing demand for fixed-pay employees was considered.

In this meeting, the government gave a gift of a 30% percent salary increase to the fixed-pay employees of the state before Diwali.

Before Court Hearing

Court proceedings have been taken for the removal of fixation by fixed-pay employees. Proceedings are going on in the Supreme Court, While the Supreme Court has given a deadline in this case, discussions have gained momentum in the secretariat that the state government has tried to satisfy the demand for salary increases of fixed pay employees.

The spokesperson of the state government, Minister Rishikesh Patel, held a press conference and gave information about the increase in the salary of fixed-pay employees.

Total Benefit from Salary Hike

With the state government’s decision, 61,560 gujarat government employees will benefit from a salary hike. Amid speculations of a 20% increase, the state government is giving a 30% increase to the employees. The salary increase for employees in the state will be implemented from October 1. This will increase the burden on the government treasury by more than 500 crores annually. The government will issue a circular on this issue shortly.

Fix Pay Calculation For Different Grade Pay Employee.

With this decision, the existing monthly fixed pay of Class-III 4400 grade pay employees will be Rs. 38,090 to Rs. 49,600 will be.

Class-III employees’ existing monthly fixed pay with grade pay of 4200 and 2800 is Rs. 31,340 to Rs. 40,800 will be.

Class-III employees’ existing monthly fixed pay with grade pay 2400, 2000, 1900, and 1800 is Rs. 19,950 to Rs. 26,000.

The existing monthly fixed pay of Class-IV employees with grade pay of 1650, 1400 and 1300 has increased from Rs.16,224 to Rs. 21,100 will be.
