Owner of Surat Diamond Bourse

Surat Diamond Exchange i.e. SDB, is a Non-Profit Exchange, registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013.

SDB is part of Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City. The initiative goes to Govind Dholakia, owner of SRK Diamonds, Savjibhai Dholakia, founder of RK Diamonds and Padma Shri awardee, and Laljibhai Patel, owner of Dharmanandan Diamonds.

This huge building is built on 35.54 acres of land within Dream City. There are 9 towers of 15 floors with offices ranging from 300 square feet to one lakh square feet.

At the beginning of the construction of Surat Diamond Bourse, the rent here was 3500 rupees per square feet. Now rate of the Office space at Surat Diamond Bourse has reached up to Rs 8500 per square feet.

The Surat Diamond Bourse project’s estimated cost exceeds Rs 3,200 crore. The Surat Diamond Bourse, situated on 35.54 acres, aims to boost the import, export, and trading of diamonds, gems, and jewelry in India.

Surat Diamond Bourse has around total of nine towers with 15-story & over 4,500 offices located in place;

it is part of the Diamond Research and Mercantile City—an 810-hectare business district in Surat, designed after Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (Gift City).
